📄 Role and Responsibilities

As a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality client care and supporting the operational efficiency of our services. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting supervising Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) in the direct execution of individualized treatment plans for clients.
  • Accurately completing daily and progress notes in a timely manner to ensure prompt compensation and effective client tracking.
  • Consistently demonstrating reliability and professionalism across all therapeutic settings, including remote interactions.
  • Maintaining an active and valid Speech Language Pathology Assistant license throughout your employment.
  • Being available to conduct therapy sessions in emergent situations when the supervising SLP is unavailable.
  • Performing all job duties strictly within the appropriate scope of responsibilities as described in the ASHA Scope of Practice for SLPAs.
  • Undertaking only those tasks specifically assigned by your supervising SLP.
  • Assisting with essential clerical duties such as preparing therapeutic materials and scheduling activities as directed.
  • Performing routine checks and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Supporting departmental operations, including scheduling, record-keeping, and ensuring the safety and maintenance of supplies and equipment.
  • Protecting clinical and confidential client information, adhering to current HIPAA and FERPA guidelines, and sharing information only with the supervising SLP unless mandated by law.

📌 Qualifications and Experience

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual with the following credentials:
  • An active and valid Speech Language Pathology Assistant License in Texas is a mandatory requirement.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as an SLPA is preferred.
  • Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven effective customer relationship skills, including a track record of reliability and timeliness.
